SPEAKING ENGAGEMENTS

I Speak on What Builds Practices that Last

Grounded in clinical leadership

I speak on clinical leadership, the practice of coaching therapists, and what leadership actually looks like inside the work. For healthcare institutions, clinical organizations, universities, and leadership conferences

I am not a motivational speaker. I am not a pure academic. I am a practitioner who has built, led, and still operates the systems I teach

OVERVIEW

A perspective shaped by twenty years of building inside the work.

I bring an integration of clinical depth and operational clarity to the room. My perspective is shaped by direct experience building practices across mental health, court-mandated services, equine-assisted therapy, healthcare, and education. I do not speak from theory alone. I speak from the lived complexity of leading clinical work while building sustainable organizations. Audiences receive structured thinking, not motivation. They leave with language for the problems they already sense but have not yet named.

CORE TOPICS

Speaking Focus Areas

Clinical Leadership and Decision-Making

What it means to lead clinically beyond administration, and the decisions that shape both team culture and client outcomes.

Burnout as a Structural Issue

Moving beyond individual resilience narratives to examine the organizational conditions that consistently produce chronic depletion.

Ethical Growth in Service-Based Work

Expanding without sacrificing clinical integrity, ensuring growth respects both the people delivering care and those receiving it.

Practice Structure and Sustainability

Designing the underlying architecture of practices that function without depending on the founder’s constant presence and involvement.

Transition from Clinician to CEO

Understanding the identity shift, skill gaps, and structural changes required when clinical expertise alone is no longer sufficient.

Systems for People and Performance

Building operational systems where quality of care and organizational health are aligned rather than placed in constant competition.

HOW WE WORK TOGETHER

Engagement Formats

Keynotes

A single substantive talk on one of the focus areas, calibrated to the audience, the conference theme, and the time allotted. Typically 45 to 60 minutes, with optional Q&A.

Panels

I participate in moderated panels on clinical leadership, healthcare operations, ethical growth, or related topics. Available as panelist or moderator.

Workshops & Trainings

Half-day or full-day working sessions for clinical teams, leadership cohorts, or institutional staff. I deliver frameworks alongside structured exercises and applied discussion.

Private Leadership Sessions

Closed sessions for executive teams, departmental leadership groups, or board-level stakeholders. Designed for focused work on a specific structural or strategic question.

OUTCOMES

What Audiences Leave With

01

A structural framework for understanding why burnout persists in clinical and healthcare settings despite individual interventions and well-intentioned efforts to address it.

02

Clear language for identifying operational problems that remain visible but unspoken within clinical and healthcare organizations over time.

03

A clear distinction between expertise and leadership, and how to develop both without abandoning the integrity of clinical work.

04

Practical criteria for evaluating ethical growth, including what to protect, what to question, and what to refuse as organizations expand.

05

Recognition that burnout in clinical and healthcare teams is structural and can be addressed through deliberate and informed decisions.

06

A different understanding of systems, documentation, and boundaries as the architecture that supports ethical, sustainable, and consistent care.

ABOUT ME

Two decades of clinical practice. Multiple companies. One throughline.

I am a psychotherapist, clinical entrepreneur, and business strategist with over twenty years of experience building service-based organizations across mental health, court-mandated counseling, equine-assisted therapy, healthcare, and professional education.

I hold an MSW, am a Registered Social Worker (RSW), and a PhD candidate in Social Work. I have built and operate multiple mental health organizations, with work spanning Canada, the United States, and Colombia.

Through the Clinical CEO framework, I work with clinicians and healthcare leaders to build structured, ethical, and sustainable practices. Across every setting, the principle remains the same: clinical excellence requires structure to last.
